Note’s From Noa: Traveling Back to My Roots
Posted on 15 April 2017
I just got back from a long overdue trip to Australia. After almost three years since my last visit, I was ready to return home to the land of Oz. Along with quality time spent with friends and family, it was great to reconnect with so many of our partners and supporters who helped with the launch of Vie Active nearly five years ago. As I’m sitting on the plane nearing touch down, I can’t help but smile thinking about how lucky I am. Lucky to have experienced this last month of travel, lucky to see how far Vie Active has come in just five short years, and lucky to know so many amazing women, companies, and studios supporting us internationally. From Sun Valley, Idaho to Los Angeles to Bondi Beach, our network continues to grow and am so grateful for being able to be a part of so many female empowered communities.
Visiting friends and family was the re-charge button my mind and body was craving. Seeing my girls with their grandma, uncle and cousins couldn’t have made my heart happier. Being able to go for early morning runs on the beach with my brother before my conference calls made my 5am wakeup calls well worth it! Taking time for ice cream, and cookie breaks with my girls in between media visits, and wholesale calls, made the day of work feel like play days. Catching up with my girlfriends over delicious cocktails, and sunsets at Bronte Beach for some night time fun were a few of my highlights from the trip.
It was also great to see what’s happening in the health and fitness world back home. I had the chance to checkout some new workout classes in the studios around Sydney and Perth as well as makeup a few of my own on the beaches of Bondi.
In between workouts and family time, we were dashing between interviews and wholesale visits. It’s always reinvigorating for me when I have a chance to sit down with media and speak about the latest news with Vie Active and being an entrepreneur. Discussions from what it means to be brave, to the latest fashion trends to the influence of technology on fashion and luxury had my mind spinning in a million directions and made me realize how many parts we play in our role as an activewear company for women.
Our wholesale visits were just as fun and got me so excited sharing the new collections with our buyers. We have a lot to unveil in the next few weeks and cannot wait to share with everyone our newsest looks.
Overall it was a very successful trip made and I want to say thank you to all of our partners who helped make the trip such a great success. Special thanks to:
