A LITTLE ON LEXI- BOTTOMS UP! FITNESS
Posted on 10 November 2014
Lexi can be found trekking the Kokoda trail or off on a surfing safari, but the Vie Active team managed to get a quick interview with her about being a BUF girl and how she tackles those early morning starts!
Tell us a bit about yourself? How did you start in the fitness industry?
I like to think of myself as the ultimate active chick. In between being a full-time personal trainer, you'll find me trekking off to tackle the Kokoda Trail, heading off on a surfing safari, or just knocking around Bondi with a surfboard under one arm and a ukulele under the other.
Besides health and fitness, my big passion is travel. Whether it's a weekend away or a big adventure, there's an energetic little gypsy living inside me that will infect you with a passion for life.
When I first moved to Sydney I was working for a well-known Australian fashion house. After a few months the sunshine and lifestyle of a personal trainer was calling me so hard, I couldn't give it up. I am obsessed with fitness and haven't looked back once.
Why do you love being a BUF girl?
I love it because being active, having fun, being social and outdoors makes me smile inside and out!
You have to get up pretty early for BUF sessions, what’s your trick for getting up early to workout?
It's never easy, especially on Mondays, but the only trick that works for me is - going to bed early!
What’s your favourite post workout snack?
Coconut water and Sunwarrior protein powder
What is your top tip for a bikini body?
I always like to be balanced in whatever I’m doing. As long as you're active, eating well and getting outside as much as possible, you'll feel great in whatever body you have.
What are your 3 favourite bikini body moves?
Surfer Get Ups (like a burpee, but cooler)
TRX Push ups for lean arms and strong abs
Deadlifts - nobody likes a saggy butt!
What’s your active living mantra?
DO IT NOW, DO IT NOW, DO IT NOW!
What are your favourite 3 Vie Active pieces?
Ali compression Tights
The Cherida tank was great while trekking Kokoda
Whether your trekking the Kokoda yourself or around Bondi with a ukulele, we want to hear about your adventures #teamvieactive #bufgirl
