Tell us a bit about Coffee not Coffee, how did you get started? What inspired you?
We noticed a saturation of health teas in the marketplace, but being avid coffee drinkers we thought we'd work on a wellness coffee range. We're aware of the health benefits of green coffee and it was something a lot of celebrities were swearing by as a health product. So we then developed our range of products and we've been addicts ever since! Check out Coffee Not Coffee
What are your active life mantras?
Mix it up and have fun! Don't make exercise a chore - do what you love.
Who is your biggest fitspiration?
Alice: I'm in awe of Misty Copeland, she's incredible! Check out her Instagram account @mistyonpointe
Claire: Kayla Itsines. She is so incredibly positive and focuses on health and happiness rather than 'what you look like' which I think is important. The plans she has created absolutely work.
As Sisters, do you have fairly similar workout styles or are you completely different?
Claire: I'm a person of routine and I've always been into pilates, running, pump, spin and boxing. However, now being 5 months pregnant, my routine had to change. I'm a regular at pregnancy barre and pilates as well as power walks and spin.
Alice: I have weights program at the gym 3-4 times a week, along with running and reformer pilates. I'm also chasing after my 1 and 3 year old boys all day long!
Where is your favourite place to workout?
Alice: Anywhere outdoors - whether it be the beach, park or hiking in the bush.
Claire: In the gym! I like being in an environment where I have people pushing me. But incidental exercise is also important. So walking to work, always taking stairs instead of the lift and getting outside in the fresh air is also part of my day.
What’s your morning routine?
Alice: Wake up, check Instagram (don't we all!), take part in some sort of exercise (most days it's something different) and then back home for a coffee and healthy breakfast.
Claire: I make a homemade juice without fail every morning... carrot, celery, beetroot, lemon and half an apple. I'm definitely a morning person for exercise. It gets your metabolism going for the day, you make better food choices, and you're more awake and ready to go when you get to work!
What can we find in your gym bag?
Alice: All black everything! Black Nike Free sneakers, Vie Active Black Leopard Compression tights and always an oversized sweater. And I'll never be without my ipod with an awesome workout playlist.
Claire: Asics, a good quality sports bra (so important), Vie Active Snow Leopard or Black Leopard compression tights, iphone with my workout playlists, snacks...(I can't go more than an hour without eating being pregnant!), dry shampoo and face wipes.
What are your top 5 tips for getting a summer body?
- Enjoy exercising by mixing it up (our mantra!) Walk along the beach one day, go hiking another and hit the gym the next.
- Eat healthy, clean food as much as possible. And water, water, water, water.....
- Don't put pressure on yourself - healthy looks different to everyone!
- Consistency is the key! Make it part of your lifestyle.
- And... drink your Coffee not Coffee of course! ;)
