[FOODIE FRIDAY] Paleo Jaffa Granola by the Merrymaker Sisters

Happy Friday!! We wanted to start your day off in a super healthy way with this nourishing Paleo granola from the Merrymaker Sisters. The Merrymaker sisters make some of our favourite tasty and healthy Paleo treats. We love them because everything is dairy free, grain free, refined sugar free and mostly low fructose. 
This granola is the perfect option for those of you who love their morning muesli but want to avoid the high sugar content. We serve ours with almond milk, coconut yogurt and fresh berries for an insanely good breakfast that is totally guilt free!

We also love it as an afternoon snack to keep chocolate cravings at bay. Mix in some cacao nibs, activated nuts (we suggest walnuts, hazelnuts or almonds) and some toasted coconut flakes for a superfood trail mix! 

What you need: 

1 cup crushed cashews (or your favourite nut)
1 cup sesame seeds
1 cup shredded unsweetened coconut
1 cup sunflower seeds
1/2 cup linseeds
1/2 cup pumpkin seeds
2 tbs. coconut oil
1 tbs. Natvia (or natural sweetener of choice)
2 tbs. raw cacao powder
the rind of 1 orange


Preheat oven to 180 degrees celsius + line a baking tray with baking paper.
Mix the cashews, sesame seeds, sunflower seeds, linseeds, pumpkin seeds, Natvia, raw cacao powder + orange rind.
Melt the coconut oil + pour over the dry mix.
Mix together really well.
Spread the mix evenly on the baking tray + place into the oven for 8 minutes (give it a stir at 4 minutes).
Once cooked allow to cool + then stir through the shredded coconut.
