BIKINI WORKOUT WEEK 2: FEEL THE BURN

Sprinting is butt-tastic for women and can assist you in achieving your very own Beyonce butt and bikini body (now say that 5 times fast) in no time at all.

"Sprinting involves anaerobic training, which is quite different from the usual aerobic zone we train in", explains one of our local Bondi trainers and baking extrodinaire, Bree Wyatt. "This really has the ability to improve your fitness and fast. Other benefits include assisting with distance running by improving your glute strength and obtaining better drive and propulsion". 

Sprint training is a really effective way to torch the fat so here’s a quick sprint workout for you to try indoors or outdoors.

The Workout

  • Warm up jog for 2 minutes/ or incline walk for 5 minutes if on the treadmill
  • Approx 150m sprint/ 30 second sprint
  • 2.5 minute recovery walk
  • Approx 150m Sprint/ 30 second sprint
  • 2.5 minute recovery walk
  • Approx 150m Sprint/ 30 second sprint
  • 2.5 minute recovery walk
  • Approx 150m Sprint/ 30 second sprint
  • 2.5 minute recovery walk
  • Approx 150m sprint/ 30 second sprint
  • 2.5 minute recovery walk
  • Approx 150m sprint/ 30 second sprint
  • 2.5 minute recovery walk


Bree: "The sprint in this workout should be a slaughtering, breathless and heart pumping sprint, leaving the 2.5 minute rest, as total rest for your body to recover. Heads up though, this training is very demanding so two times a week is enough". Compliment this workout with some weights sessions, a good swim and some yoga throughout the week, to assist with getting the ultimate bikini body you deserve.

    Ensure to stretch effectively after to elleviate any soreness and prevent muscle cramps,
